Who Else's Fifth Starter Has A Cy?

Ring in Boxing Day by celebrating the arrival of Randy Johnson to your San Francisco Giants. The Big Ugly (can I still call him that?) gets $8 million for one year.

The lanky lefty will ensure the Giants rotation is 60% Cy Young winners.

Maybe we can melt a couple down and fashion a Silver Slugger or two.

I am not sure that we should continue to call him the Big Ugly while he is wearing a G's uniform. I think Sabean has done his job here well. I wouldn't say that Sabean made us contenders with this signing but he sure did make a lot of Dodgers and A's fans mad! That to me is worth $8 million especially since it's not my money. Let's trade some pitching for a legit bat now. I keep reading people posting crap like trading the Nats for Zimm. That just ain't going to happen! I would think a Sanchez for Uggla trade would be more plausible. More than likely we are stuck with the offense that we currently have.

I have been a huge booster of the Sanchez for Uggla trade that works well for both teams. Sure, Sanchez has a lot of upside, but Uggla's a proven young MLB bat that the Marlins seem willing to move.

Those are the types of moves that you should be looking to make if you're Sabes.

Now all we need to do is ink Manny and Barry and we're on our way to a ring.

I don't think there is any question that we NEED to bring back Aurilia. I hate when this shit is right in front of our faces. He fills a void while we continue to build (i've decided you can only use the word re-build if you've won it all) and he's a GREAT GIANT. Free Rich Aurilia.
