Posey? That's not a very good baseball players name. Smoak sounded sick. I'm happy the giants didn't take a pitcher but disappointed that they take an infielder with some power which is what we need.
It's clear that the scouting community regards Posey as a worthy top-5 pick. However, the Giants have shown that a very respectable catcher can be found via free agency (Molina). What I haven't seen is the Giants able to find, via free agency, a middle-of-the-order impact bat. Smoak is that guy, right? The difference between Posey and Molina is not that great; the difference between Aurilia and Smoak is huge. Congratulations Sabean - you just used a top-5 pick on a 6th hitter, not some much cheaper middle-of-the-order stud.

It's going to be annoying for Hasan.
He's going to have to type out "Buster ring around the rosie pocketful of Posey" every time he refers to this guy.
Or he could go the short way and type Busta Pose a la Busta Rhyme, or whatever those guys are calling themselves these days.
